agreed! It is my married name...and it is of French origin. There are several variations of spelling in the county we live in within the same family members. Found the name Butchert in the Battle of Culloden records book.

My husband knows little of his family past his parents. They seem to not have discussed it while growing up. My next research project? ;-)
