Helena Bonham Carter wears tartan for her CBE

The King's Speech star Helena Bonham Carter met a real-life royal today as she was honoured with a CBE.

We have to say how fantastic she looks, decked out in a Vivienne Westwood creation of striking red tartan andminiature top hat. Not many people could pull off this outfit - but Helena looks great!

When Helena learnt that she was being honoured with the award, she said: "I am thrilled, though not sure that I deserve it.

"I always thought my father deserved a medal for facing 25 years of chronic disability with quiet daily heroism so I am delighted to accept such a wonderful honour in his memory.

"I am wondering does it mean I get to command, because at the moment it's my four-year-old daughter who does the commanding in our household. Must inform her of the change in situation."

Helena, has been nominated for an oscar twice and has appeared in Hollywood blockbusters Fight Club, Planet Of The Apes and Harry Potter, and basically anything directed by her husband Tim Burton.
