Heavy lifting events, kilted mile run, sheep dog demonstrations, dance competitions, pipe competitions, food, vendors from all walks of life and much more
Just started off the highland game season with a Scottish Heritage Festival, found a group that will give my kid free bagpipe lessons if she joins their group.

I am so excited, she is 12 and just got excited in the last year to do this, and I have not been able to find anyone to teach her until this weekend. And the bonus is the group was formed to salute vets/ and first responders.

that's wonderful. My daughter is 13 am just about to leave to take her to her band practice at Poppy Scotland. It's where all the vets make the poppies here in Edinburgh.
Another highland season has come to an end here. So Sad- can't wait for next year
I am so excited that it is highland game season here!! There are at least 6 in driving distance from my house. I love it

Made me think the same thing - There is only one place close enough to me to drive to on the weekends that has it and I always buy them out of it when I go
