Hi everyone. I am Lynn McClendon-Greenman. My Great Grandfather, Roger Cummings came to the US from ? County Tipperary, Ireland in 1884, to New York. There he met my Great Grandmother, Mary Ann Gorman...Hi everyone. I am Lynn McClendon-Greenman. My Great Grandfather, Roger Cummings came to the US from ? County Tipperary, Ireland in 1884, to New York. There he met my Great Grandmother, Mary Ann Gorman from ?Tullamore/Tellamore, Ireland. They had 6 children, one being my father's Mother, Mary Ann Cummings, my Grandmother. She married John Gillis McClendon, and gave birth to my father John Gillis McClendon, Jr. My Great Grandparents lived and died in New York.One of Dad's Aunt's, Elizabeth, married Walter Sullivan. Does anyone know anything about this branch of the Cummings family? I would be very grateful for any info.: )

As I am one of the oldest left in my family, I have been searching for our roots for my own enjoyment, but also to leave for my children and grandchildren. I knew of our connection to the Clan MacLennan of Scotland, my Dad was John Gillis MCClendon Jr. But I thought his mother's connection to the Weir's was from Ireland originally. The info here is fun and and informative. I will spend much time searching here for my ancestor's. Thanks again!
