Allyson Smith

As a child my father often told me we had Armstrongs in our family. I was born in Gateshead, but my great grandfather Francis Dickson was born in Canonbie in the Borders. I have managed to find several Armstrongs in my family and I am sure if he were still alive today my dad would be very proud.
I have worked in the NHS for 39 years as a nurse. Most of that time has been spent in the operating theatre. I am married to Dave and have two children named Louise and Adam.
I have an obsessive love of Scotland and spend as much time as possible there. We do plan to live there one day.

I love walking and am planning to get up Ben Nevis in 2018. I got about halfway last time so I am getting to the top this time.
I am a very crafty person. I make my own greeting cards, some of which I design myself. I knit and design my own knitting patterns, and I do a little bit of sewing.
I love all animals, and have a Scottish Deerhound Cross dog named Star.

Rod Stewart is my big music love. I have seen him quite a few times.
In general I love music, and have very varied taste. I love Goth Music.
My rule of thumb is listen and if I luke it good, and not to worry if I don't.
