Scottish Gold 2014

As part of Homecoming Scotland 2014, this exhibition will be held at the Hunterian Art Gallery.

The first major exhibition of its kind will tell the dazzling story of Scottish gold through spectacular displays of gold from the Bronze Age to the present day.

As well as items from The Hunterian, Scottish Gold will bring together a uniquely rich selection of Scottish gold from other museums and collections across the UK. See some of the finest Scottish gold objects ever made and used in Scotland. The exhibition will focus on the occurrence of gold in Scotland and Scottish gold mining throughout history, including the Scottish gold rushes of 1852 and 1869.

This exhibition will run from the 14th of February 2014 to the 15th of June 2014.
