ANOTHER MUSE (FOR MY AMERICAN FRIENDS TO GIVE THEIR VIEWS)

TWICE ON VISITS TO THE U.K PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS TOLD THE UK PUBLIC THEY SHOULD VOTE TOSTAY IN THE E.U. INTHE COMING REFERENDUM.JUST BEFORE THE SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE VOTE,HE ALSO TOLD US TO VOTE NO TO INDEPENDENCE (WE SCOTS ARE A THRAWN LOT,HIM SAYING THAT, PROBABLY PERSUADED A LOT OF UNDECIDED TO VOTE YES,WE DONT LIKE BEING TOLD WHAT TO DO)
INTERESTINGLY I WAS IN THE U.S. JUST BEFORE THE SCOTS VOTE VISITING THE REVOLUTIONARY SITES EG. PHILLY, YORKTOWN VALLEY FORGE LIBERTY-BELL ETC. THE AMERICANS WHO CAME UP TO ME WHEM THEY HEARD MY ACCENT TO ASK ME WHY WERE WANTING TO LEAVE THE UK WE SHOULD STAY IN.I THOUGHT THAT THIS PART OF THE US STEEPED EVERYDAY INHISTORY OF THE REVOLUTION WOULD BE PRO -INDPENDANCE.
SO MY FRIENDS WAS THIS VIEW PREDOMINENT IN THE U.S AND SHOULD OBAMA BE TELLING ANOTHER COUNTRY HOW TO VOTE!
I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR VIEWS.
I:LL LEAVE YOU ON ANOTHERHISTORICAL NOTE.

FOR ASLONG AS BUT A HUNDRED OF US ,REMAIN ALIVE.
NEVER WILLWE ON ANY CONDITION BE BROUGHT UNDER ENGLISH RULE.IT ISIN TRUTH,NOT FOR GLORY NOR RICHES,NOR HONOURS THAT WE ARE FIGHTING,BUT FOR FREEDOM,
FOR THAT ALONE,WHICH NO HONEST MAN GIVESUP,BUT WITH LIFE ITSELF!

Declaration of Arbroath (1320)

Rickey Lee Southard
My opinions on the matter matter little for sure. But, know this that not all of us voted for him, and many of us despise the nonsense.
Liz Doyle
It matters little if you like or don't like President Obama, but he has no right telling other countries how to vote. Be it Scotland's vote on independence or Great Britain's on the European Union. He has overstepped the line.

To my way of thinking the Declaration of Arbroath is one of the most stirr...

I don't think you should confuse personal beliefs/opinions with the realities of global politics and the perceived best interests of the USA. Scotland as part of the UK makes for a stronger UK. The UK as part of the EU makes for a stronger EU. And a stronger EU makes a stronger ally for the USA and ...

Thank you Mr. Thompson. I do believe he was only giving his opinion and not speaking as if it was the opinion of all Americans. My question is why the commenter was upset with POTUS when there were several European and world leaders saying the same thing.

Obama does NOT speak for me!
Liz Doyle
John, no apologies needed. Speak your mind any time. This has elicited more response than I have ever seen. To my way of thinking, that is a good thing. Keep up your comments.

You have to be really well versed on another country's political situation and personally know people who live there, to be able to really know what's going on. No one from one country should tell another how to vote. However leaving is such a huge thing now days, and can be pretty scary, I would al...

John, good for you to speak your mind and rightfully so. It's a free country. Former President Obama should not dictate to Scotland how to vote! Did they decide to leave the E.U. after all? And was a decision made with regard to leaving the U.K.? Just curious.
Joanne Kalmar
Obama had no business sticking his nose in your country’s business and I wish for your sakes that the referendum had passed. You must have been talking to the many liberals in this country who want everything handed to them by this government and don’t mind giving up freedom to get it. My grandfath...
